I know it's been a few months and it's crazy to think of how far I've come in such a short time, but that's why I love my new job! Above is just something I played with following a really great tutorial. Try it out here.

A little more drawing randomly, but this time on a picture. 

  


I realized that I had my portfolio together, but not my resume... so I've made one to match the new look.

Today I decided to make some icons. Here are a few that I did.

I wasn't too sure what to do today, so I spent some time drawing randomly. 

Quilling day 5: Here it is! Finally done! I'm still not completely happy with the background choice, but I'd probably say that about anything I pick. Either way, I'm happy with the overall.

Quilling day 4: I picked out my new paper and have everything glued on except the last line and my embellishments.

I'm so happy it actually turned out, and even more proud 
that I accomplished this in just two days! 

I know I'm almost done quilling, but I needed a little break... so, I took inspiration from our beautiful snow fall and had a cozy day on the couch knitting.

Quilling day 3: I've finished all of the letters and started glueing some down, but I'm not sure how I feel about the white on white. I liked it at first, but I think I might try to find a different colour background considering a) it's for my daughter's room and b) I seem to be lacking a colour palette this year...

Quilling day 2: Halfway done the lettering. Once I have it all together I'll remove the tracing paper to glue it all down.

Since paper crafts seem to be the theme of 2011 so far, I decided to try my hand at quilling. I've always wanted to try it. Today I only had time to sketch it out. 
This will be dedicated to my baby girl because I'm currently reading her the Wizard of Oz. "Dreams that you dare to dream really do come true"

I went back to my portfolio to finish the front page. (See January 4th for back) 
This style is so much fun to do that I've completely fell back in love with paper crafts. I guess sometimes it's nice to not to stare at a screen.
